Frequently asked questions
How is Hindi typing speed (WPM) calculated?
WPM = correctly typed words ÷ minutes elapsed. Only words that exactly match the sample text count as correct; the rest are counted as mistakes and reduce your accuracy percentage.
What is a good Hindi typing speed for exams?
Most Indian government typing exams (CPCT, court clerk, SSC posts) require 25–35 WPM in Hindi. 40+ WPM is considered strong. Practice regularly with 5-minute tests to build exam stamina.
Which Hindi keyboard can I use for the test?
Any Hindi input works — your phone's Hindi keyboard, Windows/Mac Hindi input, InScript, or Remington (Kruti Dev style) layouts. The test compares the Hindi text you produce, not the keys you press.
Will there be exam-style modes?
Yes — Kruti Dev/Remington mode, Mangal/Unicode mode, practice history, and printable results are planned. The current test covers standard timed practice.
