Type pinyin and choose the character or word you want — build Simplified Chinese text, then copy, export, or share.
Chinese is written with Han characters and typed with pinyin. Type the pinyin for a word — for example "nihao" — and pick the character or word you want from the candidates. This tool covers Simplified Chinese; you can also dictate with voice typing, then copy, count, export, and share.

| zhongwen | 中文 |
| xuexi | 学习 |
Common problems
- Pinyin is tone-less here, so one spelling often matches many characters (e.g. "wo" matches 我, 握, 窝, and more) — you need to pick the right candidate rather than assume the first one is correct.
- Rare words or names may be missing from the dictionary — try typing syllable by syllable and picking each character individually.
- This is Simplified Chinese only; Traditional character candidates are not available yet.
Copy & paste
The output is standard Unicode Chinese and pastes correctly into WeChat, Word, or Google Docs.
On mobile
Works in your phone's browser with no app needed; tap a candidate instead of pressing a number key, since number keys are easier to hit on a physical keyboard.
