Jamo combine into Hangul syllable blocks as you type (ㅎ + ㅏ + ㄴ → 한). Autosaved in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Type Hangul online — jamo combine into syllable blocks as you type. Use your keyboard or the on-screen Korean keyboard.

Korean is written in Hangul, where letters combine into syllable blocks (한 = ㅎ+ㅏ+ㄴ). Type on the standard 2-beolsik keyboard — your QWERTY keys become jamo that compose into syllables automatically — or tap the on-screen Korean keyboard, dictate with voice typing, then copy, export, and share.

Using Korean typing

Examples

The input column shows the QWERTY keys you press, not Korean romanization — each key is one jamo (letter) in the 2-beolsik layout, and the jamo compose into the syllable blocks shown.

Common problems

  • Typing uses the 2-beolsik key layout, not English letter sounds — if you don't already know 2-beolsik, use the on-screen keyboard and click jamo directly instead of guessing keys.
  • Backspace removes one jamo at a time from the current syllable block, which can be confusing if you expect it to delete a whole character.
  • This composes Hangul only — it does not translate English words into Korean.

Copy & paste

The output is standard Unicode Hangul and pastes correctly into KakaoTalk, Word, or Google Docs.

On mobile

Works in your phone's browser with no app needed; tapping the on-screen jamo keyboard is usually easier on mobile than typing 2-beolsik key positions.

Frequently asked questions

How can I type in Korean without installing anything?

Type jamo on the standard 2-beolsik layout, or click the on-screen Korean keyboard — they compose into Hangul syllable blocks instantly, right in your browser.

How do I type Korean Hangul online?

Type jamo (consonants and vowels) using the 2-beolsik keyboard layout, or click them on the on-screen keyboard — they combine into syllable blocks automatically, so ㅎ+ㅏ+ㄴ becomes 한.

Can I paste the text into WhatsApp, Word, or Google Docs?

Yes. The output is standard Unicode Hangul, which works everywhere — KakaoTalk, WhatsApp, Gmail, Word, Google Docs. Use the Copy or Share buttons, or download it as a .txt file.

Does this work on mobile?

Yes, it works in your phone's browser with no app to install. Tapping the on-screen jamo keyboard is usually easier on mobile than typing 2-beolsik key positions on a phone keyboard.

Is it free? Do I need to sign up?

Completely free, no account needed. Your text is processed in your browser and autosaved locally — nothing is uploaded to our servers.

Can I use the Korean text in WhatsApp, Gmail, or Word?

Yes. The output is standard Unicode Korean, which works everywhere — WhatsApp, social media, Gmail, MS Word, Google Docs, and official documents.

How does the online Korean keyboard compose Hangul?

As you type jamo (consonants and vowels), they combine into syllable blocks automatically — type ㅎ, ㅏ, ㄴ and get 한, not ㅎㅏㄴ. It follows the standard 2-beolsik layout, so if you know Korean typing your muscle memory works; otherwise tap the on-screen keys.

Do I need to install a Korean keyboard?

No. Type on your normal keyboard using the 2-beolsik layout, or click the on-screen jamo keys. The output is standard Unicode Hangul that works in KakaoTalk, Word, email — anywhere.
